About

A thoughtful and experienced change agent in gender-based violence response and prevention. Focused on supporting interventions and programs with men and others who cause harm so that they truly ally with the needs and wishes of adult and child victim-survivors, and act in solidarity with women's and children's struggles for dignity and space for action in their lives. Passionate about community accountability and transformative justice, and in supporting a wide variety of natural network responders and workforces to engage safely and effectively with those who cause harm. Mindful of the larger structural and socio-political changes required so that perpetrators of violence do not continue to have a vast array of supported opportunities to adopt tactics that control, entrap, punish and cause harm. Mindful that our struggles to end gender-based violence are entwined with those to end racism, the occupation of First Nations people's lands, and attacks on LGBTIQA+SB communities. Intent to learn from each other about 'ordinary', everyday steps we can take towards building life-affirming decentralised communities of mutual aid, deep respect and safety, as we respond to accelerated changes in the earth's climate systems.

Recent or current organisations who I have learnt much from, and have provided training, capability-building, policy and practice review, supervision or evaluation services for, include ACT Corrective Services, Act for Kids Qld, Alfred Health, Anglicare WA, ANROWS, Austin Health, Australian Psychological Society, Centre for Children and Families Sydney University, Centre for Innovative Justice RMIT, Child Safety Qld, Child Youth and Families ACT, Corrective Services NSW, Corrective Services Victoria, Dardi Munwurro, Department of Communities and Justice NSW, Department of Human Services SA, Division for the Reduction of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence NT, Eastern Region Family Violence Partnership, Family Safety Victoria, Family Violence Safety Action Program ACT, First Step Legal, GenWest, Goulburn Family Violence Network, Legal Aid NSW, Men and Family Centre, National Judicial College of Australia, Network of Alcohol and Other Drug Agencies, NSW Health Education Centre Against Violence, NT Health, Safer Family Services SA, Stopping Family Violence Inc., Tangentyere Council, Warrina Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Services, and YouthLink.
